ANTIOCH BAPTIST CHURCH
Sunday School Ministry Mission Statement:
The mission of the Antioch Baptist Church of Waukegan, Sunday School Ministry is to model the church mission, which is to bring people to Jesus and membership in His family; develop them to Christ-like maturity and equip them for ministry in order to magnify God's name, with an emphasis on the message of salvation and spiritual growth and development, based upon scriptural references found in Deuteronomy 31:12-13.
It reads as such, "Gather the people together, men and women and little ones, and the stranger who is within your gates, that they may hear and that they may learn to fear the Lord your God and carefully observe all the words of this law, and that their children, who have not known it, may hear and learn how to fear the Lord your God as long as you live in the land which you crossed the Jordan to possess" (NKJV).
Spiritual Requirement of Teachers/Leaders:
Must attend Worship service of the Church, Sunday School, and Bible Study on a concise not basis. Must exhibit the characteristics of a Christian who understands the teachings and beliefs of Antioch Baptist Church. Must have a willingness, respect, and be responsible and able in spreading the Word of God. Must be a member of Antioch Baptist Church in good standing.
Policy Requirement of Teachers/Leaders:
Teachers and staff members must faithfully attend meetings called by the Sunday School Ministry. They must participate in the various conferences, workshops, and continuing education sessions called by the Pastor of Superintendent.
Service Requirement of Teachers/Leaders:
Teachers and staff members must be dependable, punctual, and enthusiastic about the study of God's Word and about the importance of sharing knowledge and commitment with others.
