Born and raised in Des Moines, IA, graduated from Des Moines Technical High School in 1971. U.S. Navy 1974 - 1980 (Personnel-E5). Studied Management/Leadership at North Central College, Olivet Nazarene University, and CLC. However, illnesses and family priorities prevented me from completing my undergrad degree.
Currently Assist the Pastor performing various ministerial duties necessary to facilitate our weekly worship service. Additionally, I serve as Superintendent of the Sunday School department. Briefly commissioned as Man in the Mirror Field Representative to aide the Lake Shore Churches disciple men. In these roles I provide consultation, preaching, and teaching designed to enhance men's relationship with God.
The turning point in my life was December 25, 1997, when God changed my heart. My foundational verse is Ephesians 2:10; "For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God has beforehand ordained, that we should walk in them."
As far as an hero, I did not have one prior to my salvation. Afterwards, it would have to be Apostle Paul for his commitment to his calling despite his physical and health disadvantages. I also have had a series of difficulties in my life, and when times are hard I think about him and realized I too can overcome. He writings constantly inspire me by the way he overcame every obstacle placed before him.
I hold membership with the Lake County Family Violence Council; North Shore Baptist Ministers Alliance.
Past ministerial duties include Superintendent Children's Department; Men’s Ministry Leader, Lake County Jail Ministry Leader, Lake County Employment Center Facilitator; Waukegan Township Man II Man Facilitator.
Past memberships include North Chicago Rotary, Waukegan Chamber of Commerce, YMCA Board of Directors, and the Coalition to Reduce Recidivism.
